Fundraising News

Families within our school community would be aware that we have regular school fundraisers that provide vital funds for the purchase of small and large scale items. Over recent years our school’s fundraising ventures have gone towards new playground equipment. At this mid-stage of the year, we are inviting student, staff and community input to determine what we would like to spend this year’s funds on. Students and teachers have already been discussing ideas which we look forward to sharing.

Currently, we have a small team of dedicated parents and school staff who form our school fundraising committee, who have been coordinating this year’s events and activities. The fundraising team meet twice per term to organise activities. If you would like to join and contribute to the team, please contact Lisa Slate (Fundraising Committee Convenor) via email

The committee’s focus for 2017 has been to provide a range of community events, activities and promotions, which currently include:

Fathers Day Stall

This is set for Wednesday 30th August. Classes will be scheduled to visit the stall in the school hall/gym, giving students the opportunity to purchase a small gift/s for their father and/or important male in their life. Thank you to those parents who have volunteered to help on the day. If you would like to help out, please contact Lisa Slate via email Stay tuned for further promotions.

Lottery Tickets

A big thank you to Elly C who has coordinated the Peoples Choice Lottery Tickets. These need to be returned by the end of next week, Friday 18th August – as the lottery will finish at the end of this month.

Entertainment Books

These have once again been popular amongst our community. The books offer great value and can be purchased here – both in hard copy and digital form. Click here to access the Entertainment Book website to order.

Earn and Learn Stickers

This year we will be participating in the Woolworths Earn & Learn program. Through this program we will be able to get new educational resources for our school/early learning centre – and all we need you to do is shop for your groceries at Woolworths. Please visit the Earn and Learn post for more details.

As always, your efforts to support school fundraising activities are greatly appreciated.

  1. I would like to put a vote in for the fundraising money to be spent on having water filters built into the students drinking water fountains.
My sons College have had water filters on their drinking fountains for over ten years & it is a relief to know that the students can actually drink the tap water as the water filters work in filtering out impurities and make the water taste better.
