We will be having our final casual clothes day on Friday 8th December with the Student Leaders Executive Group (SLEG) having chosen to support The Salvation Army Christmas Cheer program.
The lead up to Christmas can be a very busy time for families and people in the community getting together to celebrate at this time of year. This can also be quite a stressful time for people in need and so once again the Salvation Army are hosting their yearly Christmas Cheer program to help make the day special for those needing support.
Instead of the regular gold coin donation The Salvation Army is asking our school community for assistance in the following ways:
- Collection of non-perishable food items (in date please)
- Collection of toys for children – especially those in the 14+ age group
On the morning of Friday December 8th we ask that students place their donation under the Christmas tree in the school library. The Salvation Army will be collecting the donations later in the day.
We hope you can help support the Christmas Cheer program.
