We invite all students and families to join us for Acquaintance Evening on Tuesday 13th February.
We value the relationships formed between school and home and the community culture we have at Craigburn. Acquaintance Evening serves as an opportunity for students, teachers and families to build these relationships at the beginning of the school year.
We believe it is important for each student to participate in the evening, where they can play a lead role in acquainting their parents / caregivers with their class for 2018, and introduce them to their teachers, specialist teachers and support staff.
Acquaintance Evening also provides the opportunity for parents / caregivers to chat with teachers and for families to mingle and to get to know each other.
In preparing for and participating in the evening, teachers will be working with students to develop and practise skills in communication, organisation, problem solving, critical and creative thinking and self-confidence.
At the beginning of and throughout the school year, teachers use a variety of media to share information about classroom organisation and learning programs – e.g. newsletters, blogs, Seesaw and more. You may have already received some of this information already.
A free sausage sizzle and drinks (at a small cost) will be available from 5.00 – 6.30pm with classrooms open between 5.30pm and 7.00pm.
We look forward to seeing everyone on the evening.
