To Note

  • This week marks School Support Officers (SSO) Week on our school calendars. At Craigburn, we are fortunate to have a team of dedicated support staff who support both the administration / management of the school as well as student learning, particularly those with additional needs.
  • Science Week begins this week. Check in with the post from Senior Leader, Hazel Robertson, to see what’s happening at Craigburn.
  • Team Assemblies are scheduled for this week – students and staff value the support of families and friends who are able to join us for these events.
  • Reminder to all – to consider supporting our school’s Pedal Prix team, the Craigburn Crew’sers through their wine fundraiser – details here.
  • School Photos Make Up Day on Monday 13th August, this week for those students who were absent from school on Photos Day.
  • A big shout out to all winter sports teams, players, coaches and supporters. Congratulations and well done to all involved in the netball and soccer programs – another successful season.
  • To support our planning for 2019, for students / families who will be not be with us at Craigburn in 2019, we would appreciate parents / caregivers contacting the school to inform us via phone 8270 4144 or email dl.1226.admin@schools.sa.edu.au This does not include any current Year 7 students.
  • The seven Korean students have settled in well at Craigburn and with their homestay families. This week they will get to visit Cleland Wildlife Park.
  • Book Week is soon upon us –  17th – 24th August. This year’s Book Week Theme is Find your Treasure.  On Thursday 16th August we have the school incursion where authors and illustrators will visit the school to talk to students about being an author and/or illustrator – check in with the latest Resource Centre News from teacher librarian / leader, Sue Jones.
  • Book Week Dress Up Day / Assembly is on Friday 24th August.
  • Best wishes to Hugh N, representing SA schools in basketball this week in Darwin.

  • Staff Car Park – As mentioned previously,  we ask that parents / caregivers who use the OSHC facility to refrain from using the staff car park  between the hours of 7.00am and 5.00pm. Thank you.

  • Please check the lost property stall in the hallway adjacent to the school canteen for any items that may have been misplaced.
