Next term in Week 2, Monday 22nd – Friday 26th October, we will be celebrating an early Physical Education Week highlighting the importance of Health & PE to the learning and development of young children. In previous years we have held 3 sports expo days specific to certain year levels. This year our plan is to have activities scheduled throughout the week which classes will be able to participate in.
At present we have locked in some sessions with instructors in tennis, taekwondo, squash, athletics, golf, softball, yoga and a visit and talk from a PBAC ambassador Celeste Dixon. Classes will be participating in a few of these sessions throughout the week varying for the different year levels. There will also be lunch time activities, challenges and Life Be In It games for students to use throughout the week. The canteen will also have some new options available for healthy snacks during this week.
The school is subsidising the cost of this week with no outlay to families. We would love to touch base with any community groups who may be able to participate in our week with some clinics or talks for the students. Please contact Karen (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you can assist or can put us in touch with some sports/health groups.
