STEM Family Evening – Monday 5th November

We would like to invite families and friends to come along to our ‘STEM Family Evening‘ on Monday 5th November.

Where : Craigburn Primary School – lower basketball court, library and deck areas

Time : 5.00 – 7.00pm

Our STEM Family Evening will be an opportunity to check out some of the amazing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) activities that students are involved in at our school. It will also develop an understanding of how STEM concepts and processes have applications in our lives. The evening will include a number of challenges and fun hands-on activities for you and your family to be involved in.

Some of the activities include:

  • Water themed activities: build a boat, bubble making
  • Nature and musical craft
  • Air themed activities: kites, paper planes, hoop gliders, paper-plate fans, parachutes
  • Construction challenge
  • Examination of the Pedal Prix car
  • Beebots and programming within German
  • Seed bombs and planting in the ELC
  • Green screening and 3D printing

There will also be a free sausage sizzle as part of the evening and an opportunity to purchase drinks too for a small price. To make the most of the evening, we would also like to encourage you to have a downloaded QR Code reader on your phone.

Come along, bring the whole family, invite your grandparents  and make an evening of it! We look forward to seeing you there.
