We invite all students and families to join us for Acquaintance Evening on Tuesday 12th February.
We highly value the community culture we have at Craigburn and the relationships formed between school and home.
Acquaintance Evening serves as an opportunity for students, teachers and families to build these relationships at the beginning of the school year.
We believe it is important for each student to actively participate in the evening and share their ‘learning voice’, where they can play a lead role in acquainting you (as parents) with their learning environment for 2019 and of course, to connect with their teachers.
Acquaintance Evening also provides the opportunity for families to mingle and get to know each other.
In preparing for and participating in the evening, teachers will be assisting students to develop and practise skills in communication, organisation, problem solving, critical and creative thinking and self-confidence.
At the beginning of and throughout the school year, teachers use a variety of media to share specific information about classroom practices and learning programs – e.g. newsletters, blogs, Seesaw and more. You would have already received some of this information.
A free sausage sizzle and drinks (at a small cost) will be available from 5.00 – 6.30pm with classrooms open between 5.30pm and 7.00pm.
We look forward to seeing everyone on the evening.
