The Weekly Wrap

To Note

  • Great to see everyone getting into the spirit of Book Week with dress up day on Friday. Thank you to families for supporting this annual event and to those who were able to join in the assembly celebration. There was certainly an abundance of super powers on show. It is rewarding to see such positive community spirit in these whole school events.
  • This week the Book Fair continues to be open before and after school – Wednesday being the final day. Book Week activities continue into next week with the author visit from Jane Jolly.
  • Well done to the Senior Choir who performed at Magic Millions, Morphettville on Friday – special thanks to Mrs Eland and Mrs Bellette for leading the students.

We once again thank our Fundraising Team and volunteer parents for organising the annual Father’s Day Stall which is set for Thursday this week – a great opportunity for our young people to purchase a small gift or two for that important person.
  • This week on Thursday we have a team of 10 teaching staff heading to Melbourne as part of a 2 day study tour of Bentleigh West Primary School (Brighton area), who will be showcasing and sharing their literacy practices. Our group will also be accompanied by educators from other SA public and independent schools.
  • On Monday 2nd September (Student Free Day) – our staff will be participating in professional learning in the areas of Dyslexia Awareness and the Department’s Learning Design Assessment and Moderation initiative.
