Congratulations to the following students on their selection into our district Southern Heights Sapsasa teams: Cricket: Coby, Josh and Liam Tennis: Yaw, Tyce and Seb. The boys will compete in the State Cricket and State Tennis Carnivals in Week 8 this term.

Congratulations to the 37, Year 7 students who nominated for this years Sports Day House Captains. All students  delivered exceptional speeches to their teams outlining their leadership skills and desire to be House Captains for 2020. District Swimming Carnival – Friday 28th February – Marion Outdoor Swimming Pool Students who expressed an interest in participating in the District Swimming Carnival, have received information to nominate. There are 50m events for 10 yr old (2010), 11yr old (2009), 12yr old (2008) and 13yr old (2007) girls and boys

Sapsasa Sports

School Sports SA – Sapsasa, organises and conducts various competitions for primary school students throughout the school year. There are 3 levels of Sapsasa teams/sports: Knockout (school based), District and State. Team sports are generally for Year 6/7 students and individual sports for students 10-13 years of age. Sports Expo Fun 2019

Students enjoyed a range of activities to celebrate Physical Education Week and the importance of health, well being and physical activity , with our annual Sports Expo. Yoga, Soccer, Basketball, Little Athletics, Lawn Games, Tennis, Wheelienet, Mini Golf and buddy skipping  were some of the sessions the students participated in.

Basketball Program

This term our Year 1 and Year 2 students will be participating in Basketball Australia’s Aussie Hoops program with funding we have received through the Sporting Schools grants. Congratulations to four of our Year 7 students gaining selection into Sapsasa Southern Heights district teams. Tom C and Bradley L will play in the Southern Heights  boys soccer team and Maddy W and Ashlyn W in the Southern Heights girls soccer team. Both teams will compete against other districts

Sapsasa Knockout Boys Netball

Well done to the Year 7 boys Sapsasa Knockout netball team who won their fourth game against All Saints Catholic School today, 35-10. The team now advances to the semi final against St Mary’s Memorial School. The boys have been training with Mrs Pettman and by themselves with their commitment

Primary Schools Golf

Well done to Harry P, Harry R and Aidan L who competed in the Golf  SA – Primary Schools Golf Qualifying Event today at Flagstaff Hill Golf Club. Harry P finished in first position with 35 off a modified 9 hole course. Harry is now through to the state finals at
