Congratulations to the following students who were recently presented with Assembly Awards:
Hugh, Caitlin, Joshua, Jess, Amelie and Josh.
All of these students are very deserving winners.

We had a great time at Sport Expo this year. The activities we participated in were: gymnastics, soccer, cricket, wheelienet, hockey, basketball and yoga.
We also enjoyed the special “cooling down” station that Mr. Hanna invented!

We were lucky enough to be given some caterpillars so we could watch them eat through a Milkweed plant before they turned into their Chrysalis stage. It was amazing to see an adult butterfly emerge and then we were able to release it into our Butterfly Garden.

On this very special date, we have taken the time to talk about the huge sacrifices men and women have made during war time so that we can now live in a country that provides us with so many opportunities.
We made poppies that were proudly worn to our Remembrance Day Assembly.
Our class photo includes Jess, who was in our classroom for 3 weeks. Jess is a student teacher and we really appreciated the efforts she made whilst she was with us.
We know that Jess will be a great teacher in her own classroom at some stage in the future.

We really enjoyed Gala Day. For many of the students, this was the first time they were able to set up their own stall. Here are some photos showing some of the students at their stalls.

We had a wonderful time at our Shiloh Hills Camp.

These activities included: kite making, building bush shelters, completing the koala challenge, pond studies and catching yabbies…with a release afterwards of course!

We are very pleased to share recent photos of our successful seed germination project.
We almost have a potential forest growing!

We are patiently waiting for our eucalyptus seeds to show signs of germination. Here are Archer and Jess making sure that the seed trays are kept moist.

Thank you to all of parents, carers and other family members who were able to visit the classroom last week for our Open Night. We certainly hope that you enjoyed looking at the range of learning activities we had on display. In all, we had 19 different families from our classroom represented and a number of visitors from other classrooms also called in to see what we have been doing in our classroom.

This week, we had our first session of Footsteps. It was great to see all of the children participate so enthusiastically and we are looking forward to the remaining sessions (on Thursdays) for the rest of the term.
