TERM 1

This term we are learning all about number. We are looking at sequencing numbers and being able to describe and continue patterns using objects and numbers. We are starting off with some skip counting by 2’s, 5’s and 10’s starting from zero and then from any other number. We will be working on addition and subtraction and using a variety of strategies to solve problems. We will also be working on place value and number beyond 100.

 

TERM 2

This term students will be working on 2D and 3D shapes. They will learn how to describe the properties of different shapes. Students will also be looking at location and transformation. Throughout the term we will be continuing work on number and place value.
