Year 1 Friendology Quotes

Our Year 1 students have been learning important lessons through the Friendology curriculum. This program teaches students how to be “Friendship Ninjas” who resolve conflicts and show kindness, and “Friendship Magnets” who take the lead in making new friends. They’ve enjoyed activities like using the Friend-o-meter to check in on their friendships, talking through challenges with their friends, and learning how to invite others to play. Through these lessons, they’re developing lifelong skills in empathy, problem-solving, and inclusivity.
Here is some of what E25 had to say about Friendology.
Friendology
Isabelle: I like it when we talk to our fuzzy friends to practise being a Friendship Ninja.
Easton: Be a Friendship Magnet and you can make new friends.
Jamie: I like using the Friend-o-meter so every day I can see how my friendships are going.
Jack: You learn how to solve problems by talking it out after the friendship fire.
Izzy: I’ve taken on a challenge. I spent a recess alone. I felt calm on my own, I like being on my own.
Izzy: I’ve learnt about being a friendship magnet. It means don’t wait for someone to ask you to play with them, you ask them to play.
Evie: A Friendship Ninja is someone who is kind to people and are really good at solving friendship fires.
Ashton: I have learnt to be a Friendship Ninja by being kind to my friends. A Friendship Ninja doesn’t hurt others.
