Congratulations to Jenna, Courtney, Ella H and Carrie on their selection into our Southern Heights SAPSASA netball team. In Week 5, the girls will compete in the SAPSASA netball carnival at Netball SA Stadium against 40 other districts.
Well done to Taine, Tyson and Harry for their selection into the SAPSASA Southern Heights district football team. The boys will also compete against other districts at the SAPSASA football carnival during Week 5.
Cross Country – On Friday of Week 2, 19 Craigburn students participated in the Southern Heights SAPSASA Cross Country event at Belair National Park. A very big thankyou to Jenny P and Laura P for training the students in the lead up to this event. Thankyou to Tyler and Xavier for their great leadership skills, assisting with the warm up and cool down sessions. Congratulations to Ned S and Hannah D who finished in the top 6 places which has earned them a place in the Southern Heights District Cross Country team to compete at Oakbank in June.
Girls Netball – Congratulations to the girls knockout netball team with first and second round wins against Thiele and Woodend Primary Schools. All girls displayed great sportsmanship and worked well as a team.
Boys Netball – Congratulations to the boys Knockout Netball Team with a convincing win over Blackwood Primary School. The boys worked well as a team in every area of the court and displayed great sportsmanship during the game.
Football – Last Friday the Craigburn knockout football team played their first round game against Flagstaff Hill Primary School. The boys played well as a team but were unable to come away with the win at the end of the game. Thank you to Mr Lemmey for coaching and the parents for scoring, timing and transporting the boys.
Soccer – Congratulations to the Year 6/7 Boys SAPSASA Knockout Soccer team who won their first game yesterday against Flagstaff Hill Primary School. The team played a fantastic game with great team spirit winning 4-0. Their next game will be against Hawthorndene PS in a few weeks time.
