It’s always great to see Craigburn Primary School represented strongly at the ANZAC Day Dawn Service held each year at Blackwood.
This year a number of SLEG students (Libby, Sam, Spencer) from Craigburn will be participating in a ceremony of remembrance as part of the ANZAC Eve Youth Vigil, on Sunday 24 April at 7pm.
The ceremony takes approximately 30 minutes, where students are asked to lay a suitable token on the War Memorial during the ceremony. Members of the public are welcome to attend the ceremony and/or observe the Vigil at any time throughout the night.
The Vigil is performed by youth representatives from Scouts Australia, Country Fire Service, St. John Ambulance and Guides Australia. They guard the War Memorial from 6pm on Sunday 24 April until 6am on Monday 25 April, ANZAC DAY. The Dawn Service follows at 6:30 am
Students will also be laying a wreath on behalf of the school at the Dawn Service from 6:30 am
