Over many years Craigburn has been fortunate to have had a team of highly dedicated parents leading our school’s fundraising ventures. Fundraising has been an important part of school life at Craigburn in that it has provided a means of acquiring valued resources and items for our school which could not have been obtained through the regular school budget.
The collective efforts of school fundraising over the last few years has enabled us to purchase much needed playground equipment and contribute funds to the construction of the play deck overlooking the oval, both projects in their final stages of completion.
Fundraising has also supported the great community spirit we have at Craigburn through many activities and events, including Discos, Mothers / Fathers Day Stalls, A-thons, Spring Fair and more.
As we move forward into 2017, the Fundraising Committee would like to further strengthen its role and service to the community. The first official committee meeting is scheduled for Tuesday evening 9th May from 7.00 – 8.30pm. Items to be presented and discussed include – committee role / purpose, policy and procedures, membership, ideas, and calendar of events.
The convenor of this year’s Fundraising Committee is Lisa Slate who is a member of the Craigburn Governing Council. The committee also has leadership representation and liaises with staff and students as required. Meetings are set for twice per term and as needed.
If you would like to be part of this year’s committee, please indicate your interest by adding your details via the link here or contacting the front office by email / in person / phone.
If you are unable to be part of the Committee, you may like to assist with a particular event as they are organised and when extra help is required e.g. Mother’s/Father’s Day stall, Discos etc.
We will keep you informed when these events are about to occur.
