The Weekly Wrap

To Note

  • Great to see everyone back at school for the first week back of term. The weather was mostly kind to us with students enjoying time outdoors for lessons and play breaks.
  • If you haven’t already done so, you may wish to check in with last week’s first Weekly Wrap for Term 3.
  • Well done again to the Craigburn Crew’sers who raced at Victoria Park today (Sun 29/7) – a great team effort in trying windy conditions – a good preparation for the 24 hour race at Murray Bridge in September. Thanks again to Mr Lemmey and supporting parents for their ongoing efforts.  Special mention and thanks to Year 7 student Julian K and his Dad, Alex who re-painted the vehicles.
  • Well done to our Sapsasa boys basketball team who competed last Thursday at the district knockout championships – a fine effort from the boys. Thanks again to legendary coach Simon Nash and also to supporting parents.
  • Congratulations to our newly appointed SRC reps for Terms 3 and 4. We hope you enjoy your student leadership role. Well done and thank you to all student leaders for their efforts in the first semester.

  • Garden Competition – On Tuesday a team of judges led by Mayor Lorraine Rosenberg and representatives from the City of Onkaparinga, will be visiting Craigburn to judge our school’s garden for a local community competition.
  • This week we welcome six Korean students to Craigburn, who will be with us for three weeks. A big thank you to the families who are supporting the Korean homestay program and to Hazel Robertson (Senior Leader) who has been coordinating the program in liaison with the department’s International Education team. We look forward to sharing the Korean students Australian school journey over coming weeks.
