End of Term News

Well done to all students and staff for your efforts over the last ten weeks and thank you to Craigburn families for your ongoing support with our in-school and after-school hours programs. We trust everyone enjoys some quality family time over the upcoming long weekend and for those taking holidays – enjoy and stay safe.

Term 3 has been typically busy with a range activities and events happening across the school including: Korean Homestay Program, Book Week, Science Week, Sport Clinics, Festival of Music Choir, Pedal Prix, Tournament of Minds, ICAS competitions, Footsteps Dance, assemblies, camps, excursions, incursions and various other year-level and class based programs. Congratulations to all students who participated and represented the school in extra-curricular activities.

I would like to acknowledge the efforts of our Craigburn Crew’sers Pedal Prix Team who competed over the last weekend in the 24 hour event at Murray Bridge. The Crew’sers did a fabulous job competing in this challenging event. Once again, a big thank you to Mark Lemmey for coordinating this year’s team and to all families who supported the Pedal Prix program this year.

Congratulations to our Senior Choir who performed at the Festival Theatre last Wednesday evening. The performance was spectacular with our students in fine voice. Special thanks to Performing Arts teacher Elizabeth McDonald and Felicity Williams (accompanist) for their efforts and work in preparing the students all year. Well done also to our Junior Choir who sang in the Foyer concert on Friday evening. Thank you to all families who came along to support the students.

Today students and families were treated to a special ‘performing arts showcase’ with a variety of music and dance items from students in Years 3 -7, school choirs and band. Thank you again to Elizabeth McDonald for coordinating such a wonderful showcase of Craigburn student talent. Please check our Facebook Page for photos from today’s showcase.
