The Weekly Wrap

Last Week

The introduction of the new NAPLAN online tests went relatively well after technical challenges at the national testing authority in the first week.  As mentioned in last week’s wrap we will be gathering feedback from students seeking their attitudes and experiences to online testing. We also remind students, parents and teachers that NAPLAN tests combine with other forms of assessments and teacher judgement to determine a child’s learning development.

Thank you to the parents and friends who attended last week’s team assemblies for students in Reception through to Year 4. The Year 5,6,7 assembly has been rescheduled for this coming Friday 31st May from 2.00pm.

The Hot Potato Day Canteen Special proved to be a success – thank you to Sue in the Canteen and parents who helped out on the day.

You may have noticed the new native plantings in the top entrance off Murrays Hill Rd – a much needed facelift to this part of the school.

This Week

This week marks Food Allergy Awareness Week across Australia. At Craigburn we have many students, staff and parents who have food allergies – where certain foods can trigger significant physiological reactions requiring urgent medical attention. Please find time to check in with this post to learn more.

Best wishes to all for the week ahead and especially to our:

  • Sapsasa soccer, netball and football teams for their knockout games this week
  • Senior Choir – who have their assessment on Thursday.

Regards, Paul, Rob and Nicky
