To Note
- On Monday 2nd September (Student Free Day) – teaching and support staff will be participating in professional learning in the areas of Dyslexia Awareness and the Department’s Learning Design Assessment and Moderation initiative.
- Thanks again to the Parent / Community Fundraising Team for organising and running the annual Fathers Day Stall last Thursday. We hope all Dads (grandpas, uncles, important males in your lives) were treated to a special Fathers Day.
- Thanks to all families who visited the Book Fair over the Book Week period – which again proved very popular. Thank you to Jane Graham (Library SSO) for coordinating and running the fair.
- The winter season of sport has drawn to a close. Special thanks to sports coordinators Michelle Ivanovic (Soccer) and Tamara Armstrong and Lisa Slate (Netball), whose excellent efforts ensured successful and enjoyable seasons. Thank you also to all coaches, managers and supporters for your efforts, and not forgetting the players (children) who represented their school with pride.
- It’s Asthma Week (1-7 September) – please read the recent post for more information.
- Reminder – Canteen Special Day Meatball / Veggieball Subs
Friendly Reminders
- Lost property is continuing to build up again – please check for any items that may have been misplaced. A reminder also to please label clothing, drink / food containers, hats etc. When they are labelled they easily find their way back to students.
- School opens at 8.30am – students should not be unsupervised on school grounds prior to this time.
- To support our planning for 2020, we would like students / families who will be not at Craigburn in 2020 to contact the school via phone 8270 4144 or email dl.1226.admin@schools.sa.edu.au This does not include any current Year 7 students. Thank you.
- 2020 Reception Enrolments / Transition – Families that have a sibling enrolment for 2020 will receive a transition letter soon, outlining information for transition visits, which will occur over three consecutive Wednesdays 13th, 20th and 27th of November.
Best wishes to all for the week ahead.
Kind regards – Paul, Rob and Nicky.
