Today our Year 6 students heard form Mrs Pettman about an exciting opportunity they may choose to apply for to show their leadership qualities ready for next year’s leaders within our school.
Craigburn has been fortunate enough to be only 1 of 10 schools throughout the state to be invited to be part of the Adelaide Crows – Growing with Gratitude end of year event. As part of this event there will be football clinics facilitated by players from the Crows Men’s and Women’s team, a shared lunch followed by a Growing with Gratitude Workshop.
Growing With Gratitude is a resilience program that builds and protects young people’s mental wellbeing with skills based on gratitude, kindness, positive reflection, empathy, mindfulness and serving others, resulting in greater resilience and happiness. Early this year we held a whole school assembly with a Growing with Gratitude presentation.
This opportunity is available to only 15 Year 6 students. The students can apply to take part by preparing a quick chat with Mrs Pettman about their leadership within the school this year and what opportunities they see they can offer Craigburn next year as Year 7’s. Students will chat with Mrs Pettman next Thursday 14 November.
We will be travelling by bus to and from West Lakes with cost of approximately $25 to students involved.
Date: 6 December, 11.00am – 2.00pm, Adelaide Crows training facilities, West Lakes.
More information will follow to the selected 15 students.
