Harmony Week celebrates Australia’s cultural diversity. It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.
It is a day to celebrate Australia’s diversity. It is a day of cultural respect for everyone who calls Australia home – from the traditional owners of this land to those who have come from many countries around the world. Please find more information on the official Harmony Day website.
At Craigburn we will be celebrating Harmony Week from Monday 15th to Thursday 18th of March.
On Thursday 18th March we will celebrate Harmony Day as a whole school. This will be a chance for us to discuss and celebrate the diversity and inclusiveness of our country. Students have the option to dress up in ‘orange’ clothing for the day. Please remember that clothing needs to be sun safe and appropriate footwear must be worn.
Some of our year 6&7 students will be hosting an assembly on the Thursday morning, showcasing artwork and activities that classes have created around this theme.
Unfortunately due to social distancing we are unable to have parents attend our assembly. Please be sure to check in with our Facebook Page and Blog where we will share our learning.
