Reconciliation Week

A massive shout out to our Student Ambassadors, Louise, Carol, Cooper, Jamal, Akash and Ruby for doing a fantastic job co-presenting our Reconciliation Week Assembly.  Thank you to our students and teachers for embedding this year’s theme ‘It’s more than a word’ into their teaching and learning. ‘More than a word’, highlights the need for braver and more impactful action towards reconciliation.

Our Student Ambassadors were invited to join the 2021 Southern Reconciliation Week Event at Neporendi Aboriginal Forum in Old Reynella. In spirit of the theme, our students at this event enjoyed together opportunities to engage in a range of cultural activities and experiences.

Our students came together to join Neporendi where they were showcased the Aboriginal history of the local area and connected with each other in a meaningful space. They had so much fun which you will be able to see in the clip blow.

It was great to see so many different pledges of action from our students. A special acknowledgment to Louise who kindly gave up her time to create our movie reflecting our learning and understanding of National Sorry Day and Reconciliation Week.

We hope you enjoy our movie.
