COVID Update

Firstly, thank you again for your ongoing support in following the current COVID restrictions we have in place at Craigburn.

As mentioned in our last Weekly Wrap, we informed you that we have encountered our first positive classroom cases at Craigburn.

If and when a positive classroom case is identified, all children and staff who were working in the class (for up to 2 days prior), will be identified as a classroom contact. Parents and staff will be notified by a text message and sent a detailed letter (via email) explaining the process for monitoring their child for symptoms.

Due to the number of cases which have emerged in two of our Reception classes, a risk assessment was undertaken by SA Health, with the recommendation that these classes are closed for the remainder of the week to act as a circuit breaker. Parents and caregivers of these classes have been notified.

Thank you to the families who have informed us early (via phone / email) of their child’s positive case. This has helped us to identify classroom contacts and send out communications to the affected families.

Another friendly reminder to keep your child at home if they are feeling unwell or showing any symptoms of illness to ensure we keep transmission rates as low as possible.

A special ‘shout out’ to families currently affected by COVID – we send our positive thoughts and best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Kind regards

Paul
