It has been wonderful to see the majority of our students return to school last week. All classes have transitioned back to face-to-face learning and it has been rewarding to see friendly faces occupying the school grounds at recess and lunch breaks.
The beginning of the new school year can create a level of uncertainty for young children when new friendship groups are formed and when they connect with new teachers. It is pleasing to see the older students looking out for the younger ones in the yard and making sure they feel safe and welcome.
This week is the last week of the current restrictions we have in place as per the directions from the Department and SA Health. Later this week, we will provide an update as to what this will look like from Monday 18 February.
Tuesday 22.2.2022
This week on Tuesday 22.2.2022 marks a momentous day. We will be celebrating this Tuesday in true Craigburn style dressing up in Tutus, ties, tennis shoes and or anything that is related to the number two.
The fun has already begun with many of our students coming together laughing, sharing and planning their dress up ideas.

COVID Update
We continue extending our best wishes to students and families currently unable to attend school due to being a positive COVID case.
A courtesy message to remind you of the procedures we have in place when we receive a notification of a positive COVID case.
If your child is in a class with a student /staff member who has tested positive, you will receive a text message and email to notify you that your child is a class contact. The email will contain a letter which outlines how to monitor your child for systems. Our Parent Information Update 3 – describes this process in further detail.
A friendly reminder to keep your child/ren home if they are:
- unwell
- experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms
- any other member of the household has COVID-19
- they are a close contact for a person who has COVID-19 and are required to quarantine
