COVID-19 Update

Dear Families

Today, we received an update to the testing, isolating and quarantine requirements for SA schools.

SA Health has advised that classroom contacts can now attend extra-curricular activities, excursions and camps providing they do not have any symptoms.

Note – Teachers or students should not participate in extra-curricular activities if they are in a classroom where SA Health has required action beyond the testing, isolating and quarantine requirements.

This means that for school sports (including cricket and basketball), students can participate in training and games, providing they do not have any COVID-19 symptoms.

Furthermore, SA Health has updated the Quarantine requirements for people who have recovered from COVID-19.

‘People who have recovered from COVID-19 will not be considered a close contact for 8 weeks after testing positive. If you develop new onset symptoms during this time you should seek testing. After 8 weeks, you will still be considered a close contact and need to quarantine and get tested.’

Thanks again for your ongoing support and care.

Kind regards, Paul
