Preparations and team selections have begun for a range of School Sport SA (Sapsasa) events for the year.

Statewide Schools Competitions (Knockout sports)

The boys cricket team won their round one game against Flagstaff Hill PS and are through to the second round in Week 11 against Woodend PS. Thank you to Mark Lemmey for coaching the boys cricket team.

Trials are underway for many of the Craigburn teams for the  Statewide schools competitions. We have entered teams in girls netball, boys netball, girls soccer, boys soccer, basketball, football and cricket.

Parents will be asked to assist with transport to local schools for games and possibly for coaching and/or umpiring.

The district Athletics carnival was postponed and will be rescheduled in Term 3. Students who were selected in the Craigburn athletics team will still hold their place in the team.  New consent forms and information will be available once a venue and date are confirmed.

Cross Country

Training is underway for the district carnival at Belair National Park on Tuesday 24th May. Thank you to Tristan Fergusson for coaching the students and parent Eddie Bye who is assisting. Trainings will continue on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 8:00am on the school oval. Consent forms and information will be sent home with students in Week 1 of next term. We will require 3 parents to assist with supervision and travel on the bus with the students and staff.

Mountain Bike Team’s Championship

Craigburn will have 3 teams of boys entering the School Sport SA Mountain Bike Team’s Championship at Craigburn Farm on Thursday 5th May. Parents are responsible for transporting and supervising their child at this event.
