End of Term 2 and Term 3 Sapsasa Information

At the end of Term 2 we finished with our last 2 Sapsasa teams playing in the statewide schools competition.

Girls Soccer: The first time in many years we were able to field a girls soccer team in the formerly known as Sapsasa Knockout competition. The girls  played against Calvary Lutheran and Highgate Primary Schools.  The girls won their first game convincingly with multiple goal scorers but then came up against some tough opposition in their second game losing to Highgate PS. Special thank you to parent Jimmy Lowe who coached the girls and prepared them for this experience with many training sessions. Thank you also to Fadie Elsayed for refereeing the games at very short notice and to the supporting families on the day.

Boys football: The boys football team played their first round games against Stella Maris Parish School and Hallett Cove East Primary School.  The boys played well fighting back from a hard start but didn’t manage to come away with the wins. Thank you to Mark Lemmey for coaching the boys and supporting families on the day.

Southern Heights Sapsasa Representatives: Congratulations to Molly C and Ayla T who have been selected in the Southern Heights Girls Soccer team to play in the Sapsasa State carnival in August.

School Sport SA State Representatives: Congratulations to Lucy W on her selection into the Sapsasa 12 years and under state softball team representing SA at the School Sport Australia championships in Melbourne in November. A great achievement Lucy.
