The Weekly Wrap – Term 3 Week 6 – 2022

It was rewarding to see everyone coming together on Friday for our annual Book Week Dress Up Day. This year we were thrilled to have our school community join in and enjoy the Book Week parade.

Congratulations to everyone on their fabulous costumes and thank you to all families for supporting our much loved tradition. Special mention and thanks to Sophie and Jack, who did a fabulous job as comperes.

The Book Fair continues in the Library on Monday and Tuesday from 8:30 – 9:30am and 3:00 – 4:00pm.

This Thursday morning 1st September, we look forward to Craigburn dads, grandads and special people coming together for our first Father’s Day breakfast.

Cross Country Champ

Congratulations to Year 6 student Alice, who competed in the Australian Cross Country Championships at Oakbank on Saturday finishing the course with a personal best.

An outstanding achievement Alice – well done.

Wonderful News

Congratulations to Year 5/6 teacher Tristan Fergusson, who recently became a father to Theodore George. Mum, Dad and baby (Teddy) are all doing well.

Hats back on!

It’s time for students to be wearing their SunSmart hats during school hours as UV levels are reaching 3 and above for most days. Good idea to check that hats are labelled with your child’s name.

To Note

Local MP for Davenport, Erin Thompson, visited Craigburn last week to present student leaders, Jed and Sophie, with a new Australian Flag (unfortunately one was stolen from the flagpole over the holidays)

A shout out to our senior choir who attended the Primary School’s Music Festival rehearsal at the Morphettville Racecourse Magic Millions.
