Thank you to students and families who acknowledged our teachers last Friday as part of celebrating World Teachers Day. Messages and tokens of appreciation were gratefully received. Thank you.
We look forward to families joining us for the 2022 Craigburn Primary School Sports Day on Friday. The students are excited about representing their house teams in what should be a fun-filled day.
The Sports Day program can be accessed here. We suggest families open the program on their preferred mobile device’s web browser for easy access on the day. A small number of printed programs will be available by the scorer’s table at the oval grounds shed.
A reminder that Sports Day will conclude at approximately 2:30pm. Normal dismissal time is at 3.10pm, however, students may be signed out earlier by their parent / caregiver with their child’s teacher.
Please check in with the following posts for further information.

The weather forecast for Friday looks extremely promising after what looks to be a wet week ahead.
Staffing Update
We congratulate Reception teacher, Tahlia Woolford, who recently gained status as a permanent teacher at Craigburn PS within the Department for Education. This is a well deserved appointment for Tahlia who has been a central part of the early years reception team for many years.
40th Birthday – Open Evening – Tuesday 15th November
As shared in last week’s wrap, current students and families are invited to join the wider school community for our 40th Birthday Open Evening. We look forward to connecting with past and present students, staff and families to celebrate 40 years of school life at Craigburn on Tuesday evening, 15th November 2022.
We would love to hear from any former students, staff and families who may like to contribute any school artefacts (eg photos, memorabilia) for us to display. If you can assist in any way, please contact us via email or phone 82704144
There will be a number of food trucks set up in the lower court area with a variety of food and refreshment options.
Commencing Monday 14 November, all students and staff will receive a commemorative pin / badge to wear throughout the week. A whole school photo and assembly is also planned for Thursday 17 November.
Save the date – The Friends of Craigburn (parent engagement team) have planned a Disco for Friday evening 18th November. More details to follow.
Please check in with the flyer below and remember to register your attendance via the Eventbrite registration page
Governing Council – Change of Meeting Date
The next Governing Council meeting has been rescheduled from Monday 31 October to Monday 7 November. Earlier this term, the school community was notified of the Governing Council’s recommended Material and Services Charge for 2023. Parents and caregivers are invited to a public meeting of the Governing Council to express their views regarding this recommendation. This meeting will now take place at 6.30pm on Monday 7 November. In lieu of attendance, parents and caregivers can express their views in writing to the chairperson prior to the meeting. Any correspondence will be tabled at the meeting. If you have any enquiries regarding this please contact Katelyn Adams (Governing Council Chairperson) via the front office.
