Dear Families
As we have shared through our school’s Facebook Page and Craigburn Connections news blog, we look forward to families joining us on Tuesday evening 15th November to help celebrate our school’s 40th birthday. The school will be open from 5.00pm to 7.30pm.
Former students, staff and families will be visiting to ‘take a trip back in time,’ sharing memories of their favourite school experiences. We are excited to have our school’s first teacher librarian to make the long trip from Queensland to join us.
Photos, videos, memorabilia and artefacts will be on display in each of the 4 decades – 80’s, 90s, 00s, 10s – as well as specialist areas including – Performing Arts, School Sports, and the Environmental Learning Centre.
A number of food trucks will be situated in and around the lower court where people can purchase yummy food. The canteen will also be open serving drinks at cheap prices.
A photo booth will be set up under the Year 1 verandah along with an area for signature pavers to be purchased and laid at a later date, adjacent to the new amphitheatre.
Our student leaders have been developing a scavenger hunt to add interest to the evening. Successful completion of the scavenger hunt will be entered into a raffle and drawn at our whole school assembly on Thursday.
Guided tours of classrooms will also be available, hosted by student leaders.
The program is currently being finalised and will be shared with families soon.
To note:
- Commencing Monday 14 November, students and staff will receive a commemorative pin / badge to wear throughout the week.
