Commissioner’s Digital Challenge Success

Earlier this year our Craigburn students were introduced to the Commissioner’s Digital Challenge. Similar to the Premier’s Be Active Challenge and the Premier’s Reading Challenge, this challenge encourages our young people to engage in a variety of digital thinking tasks and is open to South Australian students.

As part of this challenge our Reception to Year 4 students were introduced and worked through varying levels of Kodable and the Year 5/6 students problem-solved their way through code.org This was the very first year of Craigburn Primary School participating in the challenge and what a result we achieved – we were a first prize recipient!

As a first prize winning school Craigburn Primary has won  a brand new school website donated and developed by local education website developers, EWS Education Web Solutions!

“We felt responsible and proud helping our little buddies play Kodable. We showed them how to use sequences and conditions to complete the maze challenges and some even learnt about loops! We love Kodable.”

Congratulations to all of our Craigburn students who participated in the 2022 Commissioner’s Digital Challenge and we look forward to expanding our digital technology skills in the Commissioner’s Digital Challenge again next year!
