“Do you know why our Sports Day team is called Fraser? It’s actually named after one of the best Australian female swimmers, her name is Dawn Fraser. The reason you may of heard her name is because she was the first female Australian swimmer to win three consecutive gold medals in 1956, 1960 and 1964 Olympic Games. She was named Australian of the Year in 1964, won a total of 8 Olympic medals and carried the Olympic torch at the Sydney Olympics in 2000.”
