End of Year Reports
At this time of the term, teachers are writing end of year student reports. As part of the reporting process, teachers work with year level team colleagues to moderate and discuss student assessments to ensure consistency of teacher judgement when reporting A-E grades (Years 1 -6) for subject areas within the Australian Curriculum. Reports will be handed out on Wednesday 13 December.
New Cricket Wicket Installation
The work for the installation of a new synthetic cricket wicket will begin on Monday 20th November on the school oval. This will involve the excavation and removal of the existing wicket, with the new wicket to be better realigned with the dimensions of the oval to meet SACA specifications. We ask students to keep well clear of this area throughout the installation.
Hot Weather
Last Friday’s hot weather looks certain to be repeated before the end of the year. On these days, it is important that students remember to:
- apply sunscreen before leaving home and pack extra (named) sunscreen for school
- have their sunsmart school hat
- have a full water bottle
If and when the weather reaches 35 degrees Celsius or over – students are kept indoors at recess / lunch breaks.
