The Weekly Wrap – Term 3 Week 7 – 2024

We hope everyone had a restful long weekend!

A big thank you to everyone who supported our Father’s Day Stall and Breakfast last week. On Wednesday, our annual Father’s Day Stall was a great success, thanks to our Friends of Craigburn team of parent volunteers who made it happen – we truly appreciated the support helping children to purchase a special gift.

Friday morning’s Father’s Day breakfast was a special time for Craigburn dads, grandads, and special people to come together. We appreciate everyone who joined us, helped out, and enjoyed a coffee and muffin. A special shout out to Lisa Mackie for organising the special delivery of tasty muffins. We were mindful of our students’ diverse family situations, and we appreciate everyone’s efforts in making sure all students felt included and supported.

Parent Survey

The annual parent survey closes midnight Sunday 8 September. For more information please visit the department’s website. This survey aims to get your views on:

  • what we’re doing well
  • where we can improve
  • what’s important to you as a parent/carer.

Your answers won’t identify you or your child and only collated feedback is provided to our school.

You should have already received a link to the survey via email or SMS. Reminder emails are currently being sent to you unless you have completed a survey or have unsubscribed.

Please take the time to complete the survey, this is valuable information for our school.

Netball

Year 3/4

Craigburn Blue (year 3/4) V Tenison Woods. It was our last game of the season at home this morning, it was an exciting watch from start to finish and we came away with a draw. The game really showcased everything the girls have learnt and progressed on over the season, they put up a great game both defensively and in attack. Each player should be very proud of themselves for their efforts during this season. Most importantly I would like to commend them all on their team spirit which they have shown without fail throughout every game. Congratulations Craigburn Blue on a fantastic season!

Coach – Emma

Netball Year 5/6

The weather wasn’t our friend for the final game of the netball season, with the Eden Hills defeating our Craigburn girls 17 – 10. Our girls have really developed their netball skills throughout the season and should be proud of themselves. It was a tough season but they played with pride.

A big shout out to our year 6 girls who represented Craigburn for the final time – Sophie M, Autumn F, Evie M, Layla W and Zoey V. They were fantastic leaders throughout the season and we wish them well for the future. Thank you to all our wonderful parents for their support this season. They’ve helped with half-time fruit, lollies, timing, scoring and most importantly, being our awesome cheer squad! We couldn’t do it without you all.

Until next season.

Y5/6 Coaches – Annika & Karen
