Please put the following dates in your diaries – these are the dates we have nominated for our choir at the Festival. The PSMF will choose one of these dates and will let us know soon.

Festival Choir T-shirt orders
Hi All,
Welcome to Term 2!
Although it still seems a long time away, the Festival of Music preparations are well underway.
We have our choir assessment on Week 4, only 3 rehearsals to go… so hopefully you are hearing your child practising and memorising the songs, maybe even adding some choreography!
For our performance at the Performing Arts Showcase in Term 3 & also our PSMF Festival Theatre performance (both dates TBA), your child will need a PSMF T-Shirt.
Please find the order form and an image of the colours attached. Order forms must be returned with payment.
*If you have one from previous years you do not need to order a new one*
Two chances to order:
First order- Form due with payment no later than Monday May 7th.
Final order- Form due with payment no later than Monday June 18th.
Festival Choir Assessment
The Festival Choir assessment is taking place in Week 4 next term in our usual choir rehearsal.
Please see the attached assessment grid and learning timetable.
Students need to have memorised their parts for the following songs:
Prelude to North Terrace
Kusimama
Colour My World
Djapana
Glorious
Band – Cha Cha Cha
The band has been rehearsing a few pieces this term including “Cha Cha Cha” by Philip Tate. A ‘taster’ not a polished performance.
Week 10 Senior Choir Homework
Many of the songs in the Festival have solos which you can audition for. Please see me ASAP if you are interested in auditioning for a solo.

Junior Choir Audition
Early next term, the Junior Choir will be recording an audition video to apply to sing in the foyer at one of the Festival of Music performances.
Students have been learning the songs we will be presenting and will need to have all words memorised.
