This week our Reception children have been watching a fairytale written by the Brothers Grimm, ‘The Bremen Town Musicians’ (or Die Bremer Stadtmusikanten). It is a story about four sad and lonely animals who intend to travel together to Bremen to become musicians. However, they encounter an empty house and burglars on the way and that quickly changes their plans!

The children enjoyed watching the short story and then discussing the characters. We also talked about and then looked at a statue of the four animals that is in the German city of Bremen!
