Meet Lucy!

I’d like you to meet Lucy – our 10 month old German Shorthaired Pointer!

She loves lots of company and cuddles and her favourite toy is definitely her tennis ball. She’d keep it in her mouth all day if we let her! Her favourite places to go are the oval next door to our house and Kuitpo Forest. Lucy also loves to garden (sometimes she gardens in places we would rather she didn’t…) and her best friend is our older cat, Kalan (who only just puts up with her!).

German Shorthaired Pointers (or Deutsch Kurzhaar) are a German breed of dog developed for hunting.

They are an active breed who need plenty of exercise – Lucy loves to chase balls around the oval every evening!

Do you know about or have a dog or other animal who has come from Germany? We’d love to hear about it if you do!

Brr… Es ist kalt!

The seasons are slowly changing from Autumn to Winter in Germany… and the temperature is steadily going down too!

I noticed that today the weather in Berlin is only 0 degrees and foggy – wow!

You can keep up with the weather in Berlin too by scrolling down the blog and finding the ‘Weather in Berlin’ widget.

I wonder how cold it will be in Germany when we are having a heat wave here?
