On Friday, the class participated in the School Walkathon. Many of the children dressed up to represent various sports. Every single child in the class obtained sponsorship for this event and in total, the class as a whole has raised over $750. This money will go towards the development of our school playground equipment.

Our recent Inquiry Unit focussed on an investigation into the many different forms of shelters people use around the world. We researched why certain shelters are used in particular locations and we considered why these shelters are designed the way they are. As a final task, we all had to design an Aqal and then present some research into this particular shelter. We shared our work with a number of other classes including our Buddy Class. The interesting aspect of our final presentation was that no two Aqals were the same!

As part of our Inquiry Unit, we have been talking about how we can make safe decisions in our lives. We had a visitor from “Safety Assist” come to the classroom and talk to us about how we can keep ourselves safe.
It was a very interesting session!
