Thank you all for a positive start to the term. It’s amazing how quickly the weeks fly by. Students are actively engaged in their learning and have settled into their learning routines. As we continue through the term, we appreciate families staying connected with school information, activities and events through our weekly posts.
What a day for our Pedal Prix Team!
They braved the cold of the Tailem Bend Raceway on a very early Saturday morning to race amongst 200 other competitors from across the country.
The first group of the team got us to a fantastic start, working their way up to second position for the second group to take over in the afternoon.
It was a neck and neck race for the last 3 hours of the day, jumping between first, second and third position with each lap – we were on the edge of our seats!
It looks like we may have pulled away with 2nd place in our mixed division, which if confirmed, is an absolutely AMAZING victory for our Year 6s!
They all showed amazing grit and determination, and fantastic sportsmanship!
Congratulations Crew’sers!
Don’t Forget: School Photo Day on Tuesday 12 August
We want to remind you that next Tuesday 12 August is an exciting day at Craigburn as it’s School Photo Day! Details here. Make up day will be on Friday 15 August – a whole school photo will also be taken on the day.
Please Keep Footpaths Clear for Our School Community
We kindly ask all families and visitors to avoid parking on footpaths, particularly along Heath Lane and other areas near the school.
We’ve received feedback from members of our school community, including parents with prams and young children, about ongoing difficulties safely navigating blocked footpaths during drop-off and pick-up times. In some cases, pedestrians have been forced into muddy or unsafe areas to pass, especially in wet weather.
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students, families, and community members, please help us by:
- Not parking on footpaths or nature strips
- Leaving clear access for prams, wheelchairs, and walkers
- Using designated parking spaces or nearby legal street parking
Your consideration makes a big difference in helping us maintain a safe and respectful school environment for everyone.
Thank you for your continued support.
Important Notice Regarding Lunch Orders
We would like to remind all families of the correct process when placing lunch orders through the Qkr! app.
Each child must have their lunch ordered under their own individual profile; One child = One Order.
If two or more lunches are placed under the same profile, the canteen will fulfill the order exactly as it appears — and it will be delivered to the student whose name is on that order.
Unfortunately, the canteen team is not able to work out which lunch belongs to which child.
This can result in:
- One child receiving all the food
- The food being left untouched in the classroom
- Excess food being disposed of by a child
- A child missing out on lunch
To avoid disappointment, please ensure you double-check your order before payment and place separate orders for each child.
Please note — incorrectly placed orders will not be replaced by the canteen.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping us make lunchtime smooth and enjoyable for all students.
