Spring Tomato Plant Fundraiser: Order Your Seedlings Now

It is now time to plant tomatoes! Spring is the perfect time to start planting, and our school garden is excited to offer a variety of tomato seedlings that you can order now via Qkr! under the Fundraising tab.

Please place your orders by 9 am on Friday mornings, and the seedlings will be delivered to your child’s classroom that afternoon. It’s a great way to get into the gardening spirit, and your support helps raise funds for our school projects.

About Our Tomato Varieties

All the tomatoes available in our fundraiser are ‘indeterminate’ varieties, which means they grow on long, tall vines and will fruit continuously throughout the season. To keep them healthy and thriving, they’ll need a sturdy frame to climb on. Here are a few essential tips:

• Sunlight: Tomato plants need at least six hours of full sun each day.
• Soil Preparation: We prepare our garden plots by working in compost and organic fertiliser to nourish the plants.
• Support: As the plants grow, tie the stems loosely to a frame using natural twine, allowing room for the stems to thicken.

Order on Qkr! All plants are $4 each or 4 for $12
Simply place your orders on Qkr! by 9am each Friday, and plants will be delivered to your student’s classroom in the afternoon.
