What an incredible day! Our SRC End of Term Casual Clothes Day was a wonderful success, with students proudly dressing as their favourite superheroes to support the fight against Childhood Dementia.
Thanks to the generosity of our school community, we raised $735 for the Little Heroes Foundation. These funds will go directly towards vital research at Flinders University, with the goal of discovering treatments and, one day, a cure for Childhood Dementia.
A special thank you goes to Pearl Somerset and B11 for their initiative in bringing this idea forward and helping to organise the event. We also thank our SRC leaders, Imogen and Jack, for introducing the initiative to the SRC and welcoming our guest speaker, Chris McDermott from the Little Heroes Foundation, at the whole school assembly. Students had the privilege of hearing firsthand from Chris about the impact of their support and proudly presented a cheque on behalf of Craigburn Primary School, highlighting the generosity and compassion of our school community.
We are so proud of our students for showing kindness, empathy, and community spirit. Together, they truly became heroes for children and families affected by Childhood Dementia!
