Gala Day has been a long-standing and much-loved tradition at Craigburn for over 20 years. Students in Years 3–6 have the opportunity to create and manage their own enterprising stall—food, activity or craft—for students across all year levels to visit and enjoy in a fun, market-style environment.
As a student-led event, stallholders learn and practise important life skills, including creativity, collaboration, communication, problem-solving, advertising, marketing, and understanding how to design and price a product.
On the day, all students can visit a variety of stalls and spend a small amount of money to purchase items or participate in activities—much like visiting a weekend market or the Royal Adelaide Show.
Today, interested students in Year 3 – 6 received information and a nomination form to nominate to run a Gala Day stall. These forms need to be returned by Friday 21st November and then students will be notified on Tuesday 25th November if they are successful. Further information is available on the forms the students collected today.
