School Soccer – 2025

Craigburn Primary School offers soccer for students in Reception to Year 6 under the governance of the Southern District Junior Soccer Association. Details are as follows:

  • Reception – 1 (Aliens Soccer): Year 1s $80 per player, Receptions $40 per player
    • `U7Born 2018 & before the 31 May 2019
  • Years 2 –6: $80 per player
    • U8 – Born 2017 & 2018
    • U9 – Born 2016 & 2017
    • U10 – Born 2015 & 2016
    • Senior PrimaryBorn 2013 & 2014 & 2015
  • Season: May to September (No games during school holidays or the June long weekend)
  • Match Days: Saturday mornings
  • Training: Weekly, based on coach availability

Registration

  • Registration will be available via Qkr! from Wednesday 12th March

Volunteering – Coordinator / Coaches / Team Manager

  • A Coordinator is needed to oversee the overall organisation, communication, and coordination of the soccer season in liaison with the Southern District Junior Soccer Association and school. If you are able and willing to take on the Coordinator role – please contact the front office (in person / via email dl.1226.admin@schools.sa.edu.au) as soon as possible.
  • Similarly, coaches / team managers are required. Please also contact the front office (in person / via email dl.1226.admin@schools.sa.edu.au) as soon as possible if you can assist in these roles.
  • To volunteer for these roles, you must complete:
    ✔ Volunteer Application
    ✔ Working with Children Check (WWCC)
    ✔ Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse, and Neglect – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) Certificate
  • All requirements are free of charge, and we can assist with the process. Once completed, volunteers may also participate in school excursions, camps, and classroom activities.

Training

  • Training times will be confirmed before the season begins, depending on the volunteer coach’s availability.
  • Reception – Year 1 (Aliens Soccer) teams will train if a coach is available.

Uniform & Equipment

  • School-supplied: Soccer top
  • Parent-supplied: Navy blue shorts, yellow socks, boots, and shin guards

Team Selection Process

Craigburn Primary School promotes participation and enjoyment in sports. Teams are formed with a focus on fair participation, considering skill level and age balance where appropriate.

  • Students must be registered to be placed in a team.
  • The Soccer Coordinator will organise teams with coaches once registrations are finalised.
  • Players must be enrolled at Craigburn Primary School in both Term 2 and Term 3, 2025 to participate.
  • Teams require coaches—if no coach is available, the team will not proceed.
