Harmony Day Wrap

This week, Craigburn Primary School came together to celebrate Harmony Day, embracing the spirit of inclusivity and cultural diversity.

Today, many students and staff proudly wore the colour orange, the official colour of Harmony Week. Orange represents our commitment to fostering an inclusive Australia where everyone is welcome, and everyone belongs. Additionally, some students wore their family’s national attire, proudly showcasing their heritage and contributing to the rich cultural tapestry of our school community.

A highlight of the celebration was the delicious orange Harmony Day donuts, enjoyed by students across the school.

Throughout Harmony Week, students engaged in various activities designed to deepen their understanding of different cultures and ways of life. These activities provided meaningful opportunities to appreciate how we all fit together to create a diverse and inclusive society.

We also recognised the occasion with a whole school assembly, where students shared their learnings, celebrated diversity, and reflected on the importance of inclusivity in our school community.

Together, as one school community, we transformed the front entrance of Craigburn Primary School into a stunning whole-school mural. This collaborative artwork symbolizes how, as individuals, we are all unique, yet together we create a strong, inclusive, and united community.

Harmony Day at Craigburn Primary School has been a wonderful reminder of the importance of inclusivity and respect. We thank our students, staff, and families for embracing this celebration and reinforcing the message that everyone belongs.
