The Great Book Swap is Here!
Get ready for a fabulous opportunity to swap books, share the joy of reading, and support First Nations communities across Australia! We are excited to announce that Craigburn Primary School will be hosting the Great Book Swap in our school library during Book Week!
This event is not only a fundraising initiative for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation, but also a fantastic chance to recycle pre-loved books in good condition, giving them a second life while helping others. It’s an awesome opportunity for students to choose a ‘new to them’ book that sparks imagination and fuels their love of reading.
From Wednesday 6th August we will be accepting donations of good condition books, suitable for children aged 5 to 12. Look for our book donation tub located inside the library.
When?
Monday the 18th August: Reception to Year 2.
Tuesday the 19th August: Year 3 to 6
Students will have an opportunity to browse through a wide selection of new-to-you reads—all at affordable prices! For every book you purchase, we ask for a gold coin donation, with all funds going directly to support First Nations children and their access to quality books.

Let’s come together and make this a memorable and meaningful event! Happy swapping! 📖💫
