Thank you to all the students who participated in netball this season. It has been wonderful to see so many players getting involved, learning new skills and enjoying being part of a team.
A very big thank you goes to our coaches for the time, patience, and effort you have given. School sport relies on volunteers, and we are so grateful for the way you have guided, supported, and encouraged the players throughout the season. Netball simply could not have gone ahead without you.
We would also like to give special recognition to our umpires, Tayla, Aliya, Grace and Emily. The way you explained the game, encouraged the players and taught them as they went was fantastic to watch. Your enthusiasm, passion and positive attitude have inspired our players and shown them that they too can step into the role of umpire in the future if they wish.
A special mention to all the Year 6s who have participated this season. We are sad that this is your last season with Craigburn, but we congratulate you on all you have achieved and wish you the very best as you head into high school.
Thank you again to everyone who has contributed to making this season such a success.

Year 2s- Tammy
What a way to finish the season! In our final netball game, every single one of the girls brought their A-game. The team showed incredible energy, focus, and determination from the first whistle to the final buzzer. Our passing was sharp and precise, and the teamwork on court was absolutely outstanding, everyone supported each other and played their roles with great enthusiasm.
So proud of Charlotte, Izzy, Isabelle, Ayla, Evie, Elise, Natalie, Peyton and Keira with how far they have come this season and the love they have developed for the game.
Year 2/3s- Sara
We weren’t sure we even had a game today, with St. John’s arriving just seven minutes before the start! But once the whistle blew, our team was ready to go.
Final score: 10–1 🎉
Every single player absolutely shone. The girls played out of their skin, controlling the game from start to finish. What an amazing little team they have become this season, each week they’ve lifted their game, and today every player stood out.
We couldn’t be prouder. Hopefully we see them all back again next year for another great season! 🏐
Year 3/4s- Kim
Our Year 3/4 netball team has come together so beautifully this season, and I couldn’t be prouder of the way they’ve played and grown. Throughout the season, the girls have shown wonderful teamwork and determination. They have worked hard to learn new skills and had the courage to try new things on court. They dealt with both wins and losses with great sportsmanship and continued to display our school values each week. Even when faced with rough play, they showed resilience and didn’t let it get them down.
Our final game was played at home, where the girls finished with a comfortable win. The courts were still a little slippery after the storms the day before, but that didn’t stop them from giving their all.
Congratulations to every one of the girls for always trying your hardest and never giving up. You should all be so proud of what you’ve achieved this season. I know I am!
Year 5s- Mathilda
What a season for the Yr 5s! Most of our team were brand new to netball this year, and to say it was a bit daunting at the start would be an understatement. Not knowing the rules, where each position could go, or even what to expect, it was a big learning curve. But the girls showed so much courage from the very first game and just gave it a go.
Every week they improved, building on their skills, learning from each game, and coming together more and more as a team. It was awesome to see their confidence grow and their teamwork really start to shine.
We finished off the season with a solid 8–2 win, which just showed how far they’ve all come. There were some great plays down the court, and it all came together in the best way to wrap up the season.
A huge thank you to all the families, you were incredible. From cheering us on every week, to buying balls and poles so the girls could practice at home, and always offering encouragement, your support made such a difference.
Year 5/6s- Merissa
As we hang up our bibs for another season, the year 5/6 team’s last game was a wonderful celebration of Craigburn spirit. The team played with determination and heart, filled with lots of cheering and encouragement and supported every step of the way again by their friends and families.
Throughout the season there have been so many laughs, lessons, and fun moments, showing how much the players have grown both on and off the court.
As we farewell our Year 6 players- Charlotte M, Charlotte D, and Hannah. B, we wish them all the very best in their future sporting journeys and thank them for the energy and commitment they’ve brought to the team.
Yr 6s- Annika
Celebrating our Year 6 Netball Team! 🏐
A huge shoutout to our amazing Y6 netball team – Aashna, Macy, Annika, Emma, Emilie, Taylor, Brydie, Eloise, Eliza, and Shayla! 🎉
While the season didn’t bring a trophy cabinet full of wins, these girls showed something even more important – resilience, teamwork, and a positive spirit every time they stepped on the court. 💪
We’re so proud of the way you supported each other, kept smiling, and gave it your all – no matter the score. As you head off to high school, we hope you carry that passion and positivity with you and keep netball in your lives. The game is better with you in it! 💙
Well done, girls!
Annika
