We are excited to share that our Term 3 end-of-term Casual Day will be held in support of the Little Heroes Foundation and their work raising awareness and funds for Childhood Dementia.
The theme for the day is “Give a Dollar Buck” – students are invited to wear casual clothes and bring along a $1 donation to support this important cause.
Childhood Dementia is a rare but serious condition that currently has no cure. In Australia, around 91 children lost their lives to childhood dementia in 2022. Unlike other conditions, survival rates remain at 0%, and quality of life declines as the disease progresses. Awareness levels are still low, and research funding is only just beginning to grow.
Please take a look at the following link for more information – https://www.littleheroesfoundation.com.au/our-impact/childhood-dementia/
By supporting Little Heroes Foundation, we are helping to raise both funds and awareness so that children and families affected by Childhood Dementia can have hope for better treatments and, one day, a cure.
We know that even small contributions make a big difference. With the simple act of giving a gold coin, our school community will be showing that together we can help make change.
Event Details:
- Date: Friday 26th of September
- What to wear: Casual clothes
- Donation: $1
Thank you for supporting this important cause with us.
