Each year, schools are required to set a Materials and Services (M&S) Charge, which helps cover the cost of essential items and services used by students in their learning. For 2026, the Governing Council has recommended the charge be set at $480.
This charge directly supports your child’s education by providing:
- classroom and curriculum resources such as stationery, printed and electronic materials, and access to books
- library and information technology resources
- contributions towards whole-school programs and incursions, such as Footsteps, Book Week, Jam Band and PE Week,which enrich our students’ learning experiences – noting that these costs have increased.
We believe this represents excellent value — at just over $12 per student per school week — and helps us maintain the high quality of learning opportunities that our community values.
As announced in the 2025–26 State Budget, the Materials and Services Charge rebate for the 2026 school year will continue to be $200 per student.
Importantly, when families contribute by paying the full amount, it not only benefits their own child but also supports the school’s ability to provide equitable access for all students, including those who are eligible for school card assistance. Your contribution helps us keep programs running at the level our students deserve.

Open in new tab Parents and caregivers are invited to attend a public meeting to approve the 2026 M&S Charge on Monday 27th October, at 7:00 PM in the school library. If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to share your views in writing via the school admin email prior to the meeting.
