Celebrating PE Week

What a fantastic week we had celebrating Physical Education Week at Craigburn last week. Our students were engaged, active and enthusiastic as they took part in a wide range of physical activities designed to promote fun, teamwork and wellbeing.

Throughout the week, classes enjoyed:

  • Taekwondo sessions with an instructor
  • Games on the oval
  • A whole-school scavenger hunt
  • Daily PE quizzes
  • Yoga sessions in the gym
  • Orienteering challenges
  • Buddy class games
  • Creative tasks such as designing sports equipment and team uniforms
  • Writing positive team-mate speech bubbles, focusing on encouragement and sportsmanship

To finish the celebrations, students came dressed in their favourite team colours or sports uniforms.

A special thank you to the Canteen for providing their delicious yogurt and berry granola cups throughout the week.

A huge thank you goes to our Year 6 Be Active Leaders. They were instrumental in the success of the week—setting up and packing away equipment, running yoga sessions, helping design the scavenger hunt, and promoting positive participation across the school.

We also took this opportunity to recognise students who completed the Premier’s Be Active Challenge during the year. Congratulations to all who received their medals and certificates.
