‘Boris Gets a Lizard’ is a fantastic book. The author is Andrew Joyner and it is published by Puffin Books.
The main character is a pink pig called Boris. Boris wants to get a Komodo dragon but his mum and dad say no. That night Boris writes a letter to the zookeeper to ask if their Komodo dragon would like to go on a holiday. The next morning Boris posts the letter and puts signs up. When Boris comes home a letter arrives for him and it says that the Komodo dragon doesn’t take holidays. On Saturday everyone is there from his class but Boris gets a skink instead of a Komodo dragon. After, Boris looks at the letter again and sees tickets to the zoo. Finally Boris gets to see a real Komodo dragon at the zoo.
I like this fantastic book and I recommend it to readers in years 1 to 4.
